“Persian carpet” series is made after “Iranian garden”. One of the images in “Iranian garden” was grasshoppers, attracting a garden and destroying its corps. At that time, I thought “grasshoppers” were a known reason in destroying corps and can be consider as main element in other series. Therefore, I increased the number of grasshoppers in my frame in order to use them as warp and woof. In accordance with “carpet” structure and situation, decorative theme became the main feature of them and the used pallet was limited just like the main color of carpets. Also, the symmetric feature in this artworks, unlike carpet, are somehow indirectly mixed on canvas. “Persian carpet” series is a decorative set with minimalist traits and political, critical dimension. With the repetition and numerous number of grasshoppers, the series have a political image. It shows that in order to express critical, social and political concepts, there is no need to humanistic figures, because the artist can express his concepts by creating an image.
